Description

Wilwood 2pcs rotors are comprised of an aluminum “hat” also called a “bell”, a steel disc (rotor) and screws that hold these two pieces together.

Hat + Disc + Hardware = Complete Rotor

Hat

The recommended Hat for the Trans4mer brake kit with the 11″ Wilwood is:

  • Wilwood PN: 170-11682 – MSRP: $134.93
  • Bolt Pattern: 4 x 100
  • Offset: 0.750″
  • Rotor Bolt Circle: 6 x 6.25

Disc

Discs need to have the following specifications:

  • Rotor bolt circle: 6 x 6.25
  • Diameter: 11.00″
  • Thickness: 0.81″

Hardware

Hardware should be designed for brake rotors due to the heat that can be generated.  Wilwood uses the following:

  • Wilwood PN: 230-12176 – MSRP: $17.24
  • Includes 12pcs (6 per rotor)
  • Size: 5/16-18 x 1.00 Length
  • Material: CRES 321 Steel

Assembly

  1. Apply Loctite Red (High Temperature Recommended) on the threads of the screws.
  2. Place the flat side of the rotor onto the hat so that the disc mass is oriented away from the hat.
  3. Install screws hand tight
  4. Torque screws to 25ftlbs using an alternating star pattern.

If you do not use loctite red or do not follow the torque instructions your screws will back out and very bad things will happen!
